# Vision

Identifying new materials with desirable properties and reaching commercial scale takes decades of effort due to the complexity of the synthetic process of making and characterizing a material with near atomic precision. The Atomscale platform aims to change this by developing automated and coherent data management and data analysis pipelines for nanoscale materials data.

#### We want to be the home for materials science data, automating the feedback loop between material synthesis and results characterization, to unlock the predictive power of ML/AI.
